WWII spy school taught ninjutsu skills | The Daily Yomiuri

This interesting article was in today’s newspaper. Some documents have been found about the secret training school for military intelligence operatives run by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. These are the details of the curriculum.

First-semester classes included military science – including foreign militaries, topography and weapons – three foreign languages (Russian, English and Chinese), swordsmanship, judo, photography, intelligence techniques and ninjutsu.

So at least swordsmanship and judo are in there.

The second semester is much more disturbing.

In the second semester, bacteriology, pharmacology, practical bomb techniques and other topics were added.
